. Peru Vacation Package Itinerary Package PC06 : Peru Archeaological Lima - Ica - Arequipa - Cusco - Puno 12 days / 11 nights
Day
1: Arrival at Lima Pick-up
from the airport and transfer to your hotel. An afternoon visit to the city and
museums. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. Day
2: Lima - Ica - Nazca
You
begin your journey traveling in a comfortable bus to the Paracas Peninsula,
where you will board a boat for a visit to the Ballestas Islands. You then
continue south, to your hotel in the city of Ica. Overnight.
Day
3: Ica - Nazca
An early
transfer to the airport at Ica to board a light aircraft that will take
you on your 45 minute flight over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. After lunch
you board your bus to the white city of Arequipa, visiting pre-Inca
cemeteries and ruins along the way. Later overnight at your hotel.
Day
4 : Nazca - Arequipa
Your excursion
in the white city will be overshadowed by El Misti volcano. After visiting the Santa
Catalina convent and the historic centre. And having lunch you will travel
to the
surrounding valley to see the mill at Sabandia and the ancient site of Toro
Muerto. Then return to your hotel. Day
5 : Arequipa - Juliaca - Puno
Today you will visit
the city and historic centre of Puno. After lunch, an excursion to the Inca
tombs at Sillustani. Five metre-high structures built from stone on the
shores of Lake Umayo can be observed. Later return to Juliaca and your
hotel. Day
6 : Puno - Uros - Taquile : Transfer
to the port of Puno to board your boat ride across Lake Titicaca will
begin to visit. The floating Uros Islands and Taquile Island, with its friendly
inhabitants dressed in their typically attibe. You then will return to
your hotel in Juliaca. Day
7 : Puno - Juliaca - Cusco
Your
train
to Cusco will be leaving at 6:30 am. An all-day train journey to Cusco. On the way
you
will enjoy the spectacular scenery of the high Andes, with its snowcapped
peaks and plains where herds of llamas, vicu�as and alpacas. The
scenery then changes as you approach the Cusco valley. Later transfer to
your hotel.

8 : Cusco - Sacred Valley of
the Incas
You will be Picked up
from your hotel at 8:00 am. And driven to the Sacred Valley to visit the
market in Pisac. Then having lunch in Urubamba. Continuing along the banks of the Wilkamayu or Vilcanota River,
you will the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo.
Later returning to Cusco via the Anta plain, visiting another traditional market, Inca
remains and colonial church at Chinchero. With your overnight stay. Day
9 : Cusco - Machu Picchu
Early pick-up
from hotel at 6:00 am. You are transfered to the train station for the trip to Machu
Picchu, the Inca citadel, cradled in the forested mountains of the
Urubamba gorge. Overnight stay in a hotel in the town of Aguas Calientes.
Day
10 : Machu Picchu - Cusco :
An early morning
visit to the hot springs. And then hiking trough to the cloud forest to hunt for orchids and
observe hummingbirds and fauna. Lunch in an international restaurant.
And by afternoon your return by train to the city of Cusco awaits. Overnight
stay.
Day
11 : Cusco - Pikillacta - Andahuaylillas Visit
to the pre-Inca remains of Pikillacta, unique in the Cusco region. We will
also visit the village of Saylla, where traditional deep fried pork dishes
are prepared, and before continuing to the village of Andahuaylillas you
will visit
the Sistine Chapel of the Americas, to observe the interior of the chapel which is covered with
bright murals. After return to Cusco.
Day
12 : Cusco - Lima Transfer
to the airport for your flight to Lima. End
