1:
ARRIVAL
IN LIMA Transfer to hotel.
Afternoon city tour.
Day
2: LIMA - CUSCO Transfer
to the airport and your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival your afternoon visit to the colonial and
Inca attractions of Cusco, including Koricancha, Temple of the Sun and the
San Blas district, famous for its crafts will begin. Visit to the Saccsayhuaman
Archaeological Complex (Q'enko, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay)
later on. Day
3: CUSCO
- SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS (Urubamba)
In the
morning,
travel by private bus to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, one of Peru's greatest natural and
archaeological treasures. After a 30
kilometre drive, you will arrive at the colorful Andean market of Pisac,
where you will also visit the Inca ruins high above the village. In the afternoon
a 45 kilometres
drive along the valley, to the Inca fortress
of Ollantaytambo. Return to your hotel in Urubamba. Day
4: URUBAMBA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
An early morning
drive to Ollantaytambo, from where you will take the train
to Machu Picchu. For a guided visit to the magnificent Inca citadel. You
will have free time
to explore the ruins on your own. Return to Aguas Calientes, from where
you will
board the train and return to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel. Day
5: CUSCO - JULIACA - PUNO Early
departure to Puno is at (7:30 am) via tourist bus. In route a visit to Andahuaylillas
(Sixtin Chapel of the Andes), the Inca temple of Raqchi and Pukara Museum in Puno.
Your visit includes a typical lunch in town Sicuani. Overnight in
the town of Puno. Day
6:
PUNO - UROS -
TAQUILE ISLAND - PUNO Breakfast
at your hotel. After visit to the Uros and Taquile Islands at lake Titicaca.
This half-day excursion takes you to the highest navigable lake in the
world, and visit the Floating Islands of the Uros, considered
to be "Lords of the Lake".
Continue to Taquile, a native community of about 400 families still living with XIV century Inca
traditions. Due to its archaeological remains, the sacred and ceremonial
sites, festive activities, and daily rituals, Taquile is considered a very
important site of the Lake Titicaca. Its inhabitants are
devoted to farming, textile production and fishing. Day
7: PUNO - JULIACA - LIMA Early
in the morning transfer to the airport in Juliaca for your flight to Lima. Your tour through historic and modern Lima will take
you to the Cathedral and the Gold Museum. After transfer to
the airport. End
