Choquequirao (3.085m) is situated in the top of a mountain in the province of Cusco. It is said that these ruins were the last refuge of the Inca´s Sons. This amazing fortress was build during the government of Inca Pachacutec the greatest inka at that time. The total area of palaces, temples, sources, canals and aqueduct is still unknown. Only 30% of this huge complex has been explored. The rest is covered by vegetation and in some way waits to be descober. Choquequirao, in Spanish means “Golden Cradle”, offers an amazing bio-diversity, and with a little bit of luck you will be able to see the majestic condor or a spectacular bear. Since 1992 tourists are going to Choquequirao and only a few visitors take on the strain, because of this remote area and ambitious hike.During this trip we can enjoy giant mountains, breathtaking cliffs, splendid snow peaks and spectacular canyons.
